We have an amazing Nursery attached to our school where we are lucky enough to see our newest pupils flourish and develop through play.
Our qualified and enthusiastic staff take every opportunity to teach our little ones through activities that encourage and stimulate each child’s imagination.
At Woodhill Nursery we understand the importance of the early years for your child’s development. From potty training to their first reading book, our wonderful staff will encourage and nurture each child on one-to-one basis while ensuring we conform to EYFS standards at all times.
Woodhill have built a very special environment for their nursery children. We encourage them to feel the nursery is their home, zoo, shop, veterinary surgery or even DinoLand!
Our dedicated building has separate areas that are dedicated to specific activities. Each child can follow their own adventure into learning, with us there every step of the way right alongside them.
“We are all mature well trained staff that our children respect and love. We feel that we are following the rest of Woodhill School with a close family environment where children feel safe and at home” Mrs Hayley Steele – Nursery Key Worker
Within our Nursery we have areas such asLetters and Sounds
- Roll Play
- Mud Kitchen
- Small World
At Woodhill Nursery we always aim to encourage each child to reach their full potential. Whether that is following the children’s ideas to imaginatively build an indoor swimming pool (without water!) or simply by encouraging their individuality in their love of a specific subject.
We are also very aware of the importance of teaching our children routine, sharing, and the social skills necessary to become well-rounded individuals.
Our children love a broad range of activities, especially cooking which always a highlight. They then get to enjoy eating their work too!
The Nursery also hosts our Holiday Club which caters for all the school. This is a great way for children from Nursery to engage with their older peers. We feel this is a great way for children from the whole school to enjoy each other’s company and help each other learn and experience new things.
